Where history meets contemporary living
MILAN — PORTA ROMANA STREET 17
Sqm: 2.000 • Client: Kervis / BNP Paribas Real Estate • Type: Ground-to-ground building, complete renovation and subdivision • Destination: Private residences and offices
In the sophisticated heart of Porta Romana, we have launched a project that restores life and prestige to an eighteenth-century building, an extraordinary example of the transition between Baroque and early Milanese Neoclassical styles. A building that preserves the memory of the Rougier family and the city's aristocracy, today restored to its original splendor thanks to a meticulously elegant restoration.
The interventions—from the restoration of the facades to the restoration of the noble spaces, from the internal courtyard to the dedicated concierge service—have preserved decorated ceilings, frescoes, and artisanal details, reinterpreting them with contemporary comfort and functionality.
Inside, 20 residences with distinct identities are distributed around the two historic staircases: a harmonious dialogue between classic forms and the most authentic Milanese design.
A privileged position: the Torre Velasca acts as an urban compass, Piazza Duomo can be reached in a few minutes and the Guastalla Gardens offer a natural refuge just a stone's throw from the front door.
For Palazzo Rougier, we oversaw the development strategy and marketing of the units, accompanying the project as it evolved into the high-end residential market, with sensitivity to history, context, and architectural uniqueness.
